I switched back to Photoshop to run the Equalizer filter in the KPT 6 set of filters. It can do wonderful things to images; in this case, however, it resulted in a wretched mess. On the oft-cited “bright side,” the mistake was immediately apparent. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve invested whole days and entire week ends in efforts that seemed truly wonderful, only to reperceive them an evening or two later and groan aloud. In my experience, those who can’t bear to fail tend not to persist in the arts, or if they do, it’s usually only to work up a handful of successes and repeat them ad infinitum.
