“Wait a minute! What’s this?” you might reasonably wonder. This is another study of the same dark brown vase of inexpensive flowers based on the same transparency. I used approximately the same techniques to produce a fairly similar, yet very different study.
Neither of these paintings amounts to Great Art by any stretch of the imagination. These are just uncomplicated, rather playful floral studies I did while contending with a decidedly stubborn cold in January, 2000. I hope they illustrate both the potential of painting digitally and a handful of the methods I employ.
